…then some grew up and became Politicians and/or CEOs of major corporations.

*Resources are not shared, they’re often stolen and re-sold;

*fighting is rife in the Middle East

*can’t be nice when your cheating the populace

*messes are made and not cleaned up (oil spills, corporations like Monsanto destroying or ecosystems etc)

*friends and family are often put on the back burner for the sake of a career

*and many Good Samaritans are Good because of tax breaks.

~Perhaps we should take that Kindergarten Mentality and all start working together to make the world a better place…

It seems many of us forgot almost everything we learned in Kindergarten.

What Happened?

The problem is that now if someone questions the government (especially after 911) they’re dubbed conspiracy nuts which then means that they are lumped in with the Tin Foil Wearing Hat People and then are scorned or ignored.

Which means of course that no-one gets a Voice.

It’s an ingenious trick of the Corporate Media: Trust your government wholeheartedly; don’t ask questions – and if you do, you’re a nut.

This is a very stealth way to suppress Freedom of Speech.

Many Americans – & a couple of Canadians I know – have fallen into this Trap.

Sadly, most Americans – once Ferocious Warriors for Freedom & Peace – have been reduced Blithering Sheep who don’t ask questions, jump on the Nationalistic Bandwagon & attack anyone who thinks differently.

Question Authority.

Here’s a little story about a Boy and a Girl.

Childhood Buddies, separated for 30 years and then re-united through a Social Networking site.

One would think they could pick up where they left off 30 years ago, but alas! it was not meant to be.

Time, Experiences, a vast ocean all have their part in how things turned out.

I must apologize first for I haven’t much time these days as it has been a demanding time for all of us at The Refuge Community Venue.

Thus my FB presence has been a bit more scant and my blog presence a bit scanter.

I miss the parley & debates and we will have them again as soon as we (me) are used to our new schedule… and I have a lot of catching up to do!

I also needed to give the Christians a break.

From those interesting debates, debates that were fun, not ‘too’ serious, and offered a little something for everyone, many of you witnessed the emergence of my erstwhile chum named Kristen (her full name is on FB, I’ll keep it off my Blog for now).

Many of you – some of you long time friends here in Taiwan; others long time participants on the goings-on on my wall, blog and other media – began asking who this woman was and why she hated me so.

All of the Kristen Hullabaloo these last few months has spurred me to write a bit of History (scant as it is) and my thoughts on the whole affair. I must preface with what I am to write with -I know her about as well as she knows me -  which is not very well at all.

All I have to go on are memories, my journal I kept from then, my poetry (some of the poems dedicated to her, I’ll post a few in the near future) her posts and a limited information about her from her profile, but I will be as articulate as possible and recollect some events as best as possible.

I do know this, she is a Born Again Christian Fundamentalist who votes mostly Republican.

Writing this piece (written in haste and only one revision) is as much for me as it is for you, Dear Reader.

Rather than answer each question individually (very time consuming), I tried to get all the bits (I slammed out in an hour as succinctly as possible)
in this all encompassing Narrative.

I will update it as soon as I am able (work on my rented house may suffer, but it will be worth it).

Apologies for any discombobulation.

Get yourself a cup of tea, or a beer, perhaps a glass of wine; sit back and enjoy the Latest Diatribe (or Pertinent Information for some of you) so you know how to deal with this woman (and there are more like her in the world) in the future when her proverbial pen vomits on my little piece of Cyber Space (or, egads, yours!).

Kristen and I were Church Buddies at a church called South Shore Baptist Church in the very affluent town of Hingham (where Kristen apparently resides now). I think I was about 8 or 9 when we started going to that church there. I enjoyed my time there, I made friends, went on their picnics; went on their Jesus Camp-esque retreats and summer/winter camps. I was, to many I suppose, your average Christian Kid trying to do right by Jesus.

When I was about 12 or 13 – you know, when the hormones get going and you start to re-think looking at a girl with lust in your heart as a sin – I started asking questions about what I believe.

Kristen and I would have long conversations, sometimes on the church steps; sometimes by phone, the conversations were often about Jesus, our lives, my relationships with people, her relationships with her mother, which at the time were not good… especially if her mom knew she was talking to me.

Her mom absolutely deplored me.

Lots of Christian Moms deplored me, but Mrs. L  took first place.

Note that I have fond memories of Kristen that I try to keep alive despite her recent on-line activity.

My rebellion at The Church was evident and many of the parents cautioned their children (my friends/acquaintances) to stay away from me as I might corrupt them. Kristen still snuck phone calls to me and I called her too. When her Mom answered I disguised my voice and asked for Kristen or I would hang up the phone and try again later. We were buddies… and I must say that she did stick to her guns – despite her mother – then, as she does now.

Note this relationship was friends only, I don’t think either of us ever thought it was more than platonic. In my mind, she was kind of like one of the boys. She was tall and athletic and had a nice loud boisterous laugh and I remember she had a great sense of humor (I’m not sure where that Sense went).

I continued going to the church, but was rebelling even more – giving smokes to the church boys; sneaking whiskey into Sunday school; and at the same time struggling with my relationship with Something I was not sure existed, at least not in the sense I was being taught.

Prayers went out for God to show his grace on me, I even made the ‘prayer chain’ (this is what X-ians do when they feel there is an Emergency Need and someone needs help) so that I had about 100 people praying for me in one night.

Prayer, you see, is how Christians can ‘help’ without getting their hands dirty… especially when one lives in Hang him… er Hing ham.

God must not have been listening, or had another plan… because I, except for the occasional visit to the church when I was 15 to see some of my buddies, stopped patronizing the Church and went out into the ‘real’ world.

I hitchhiked across the great ol’ US of A and was gone for months (this is another piece I have been working on for a year or so and will publish soon – Hitchhiking Adventures Across Amerika).

When I got back to Massachusetts, I was almost 18 and I joined the Military soon after. The Military got me out of my Childhood.

At once, I was thrown in the Mix with people from all around the States, mostly from the South.

I trained, fought & killed with the elite 82nd Airborne Division and was stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

I think I may have called Kristen once or twice from a pay phone my first year in, but we never saw each other in person again.

I had little or no contact after I was 17 years old with Kristen until 2009 when we found each other on line and became ‘friends’ again… and that is a mighty long time. Letting go of the Past and accepting the Now can be a difficult thing after not seeing someone for so long. Meeting someone after years of no contact can be a bit traumatic as no one is the same they were 25 or 30 years ago. Based solely on her posts, she too is not the girl I knew 25 or 30 years ago. She seems to be struggling with this.

However, after (shy of ) two years interfacing with Kristen, and observing how she interacts with people in the Forum, she, in my opinion, which I know are like assholes (opinions that is, everyone has one), has become a bitter, man-hating, angst filled, self righteous, old lady. The kind I used to run away from when I was a boy… I mean, you can’t berate an old lady, can’t beat em’ up either… staying clear of them and waiting for them to die is about the only solution. And yes, it pains to me to describe my Ol’ Chum this way.

Kristen apparently married, divorced and then met Husband Number 2. He also sounds like a very interesting guy as you will see in a moment.

Her second husband (would love to meet the first husband, perhaps I will someday, he must be a hoot) apparently is as brash as she is.

I am flattered that they sit around and talk about me… it tickles me pink.

Here’s an example:

(Posted by Kristen) “So occasionally I will talk about Paul’s posts with my husband and kids. The response is always the same. Tonight I brought up this thread, and my son said: “He would never make it in the real world.” My astute, no-holds-barred, in-your-face husband said, “A grown man who sits on the computer playing bickering games. Doesn’t he have anything better to do with his time? Doesn’t he have a house to work on or a lawn to mow?” And then he remembered Paul’s comments and said: “Oh, right. He doesn’t ‘own’ anything. What a f*ing loser.” As the aunt whom I adore says : ‘Nuff said.’”

Of course calling a Dog a Cat doesn’t make the Dog a Cat.

What Kristen and her In Your Face Husband, does not know is that I ‘owned’ 3 English Schools for 14 years, an entertainment company, a Martial Art School and now for all intent and purposes and for the sake of argument, I ‘own’ The Refuge.

All were/are successful.

(Note I like to call myself the director – and yes the janitor -  at The Refuge as it is Community Run and everyone helps out, and contributes vastly to the organization of The Refuge. It is a true Social Experiment that seems to be working… no one ‘owns’ it in the American I want to own everything sense. It is a Community Venture).

My goals, philosophy of Life, ambitions, have all changed.

Let me digress a quick moment on this matter and mention my thoughts on owning a House or a piece of Land:

The problem with the word ‘own’ is that the word is arbitrary.

Mr. Astute also thinks he ‘owns’ his house. Does he?

Does anyone own their house in the US?

We can all agree that One must pay taxes on the house that they bought. Those taxes can be raised, changed and the person that owns the house does not have much say in it. What happens when Mr. No Holds Barred doesn’t pay his taxes?

Well, he gets into trouble.

And what happens if Mr. In Your Face still refuses to pay his taxes (and then the back taxes and the subsequent interest on the taxes)?

I’ll let you answer that – but try not paying your Taxes on your Land/House and see if it is still yours when you get out of Jail.

(…and wait, did The Astutes buy the house outright? Do they still owe the Bank? Do they have a mortgage? I don’t know, that is personal information, but if so, they don’t own shittles.)

Owning a house is a fallacy.

‘Nuff Said.

The house does own you though.

The ‘owner’ of the house is chained to it.

No Freedom for that Fat Cat, is there?

Funny thing is, Kristen is in Real Estate, she sells this lie to people. (She also works with Children).

Digression complete.

Why haven’t I blocked her? Why haven’t I shoved her out of my Cyber-Box and barred the Door?

I was actually wondering the opposite.

Why hasn’t she blocked me?

What is going on her head that she would stay acquainted with a Rapscallion like me?

There are a few reasons why she remains on my People I Know list.

It could be that there is always that thread of hope that she will ‘come around’ one day and be nice, that she will debate and parley for the sake of Truth & Fun and learn how to Agree to Disagree.

Perhaps she will – one day – understand that she takes this a lot more seriously than many of us (or at least I) do.

Perhaps she will see that I am trying to get under people’s skin now and again… proverbial slaps in the face to wake people up (I get those slaps constantly… but I don’t get bitter about it… I embrace it).

Perhaps she will understand that many of us have very busy lives and only get on-line when we can (for me I post a bit of info for awareness sake and f*ck off. I read the Comments when I can and learn from them. I comment when I have time… though she has taken my silence as not being able to debate or not being smart enough).

Perhaps our Dear Acquaintance Kristen may even one day dispel of the self righteous, snarky, demeaning, holier than thou, boxed in, angst filled characteristics she displays with vigor whenever she responds to anyone’s posts that she disagrees with. She has not learned the Art of Agreeing to Disagree.

If there were People out there that felt they needed Saving through Jesus, she is definitely not his Poster Child… and if anyone was teetering on the Jesus Fence, all they had to do was log on to some of the Dialogue I initiated, take a look at The Self Appointed Jesus Rep and be pushed onto The Other Side.

You know, the Fun, Grass is Greener, Search for Truth with an Open Mind Side.

But come Boston Paul… a thread of hope? That may be asking too much, there is not much that hangs on a thread. There must be more reasons for not blocking this ______ woman!

She’s a Writers Dream.

She is my unsuspecting Muse.

Hemingway, Poe, Kafka, Kundera – all my favorite authors – wish they had a Kristen.

You can’t buy one in any store, very difficult to find one on-line, she is all mine (and I share her with all of you).

I’m not jealous!

Take and do what you will, don’t worry, it seems she can take it.

This very piece I am writing now has been inspired by her!

I have not thought so much about my Church Days as I have recently with Good Ol’ Kristen of The Wall.

I look back and have a few fond memories of being at The Church. Kristen has brought a few of those memories out…

The differences between us are vast now, as I chose to take Life by the reigns and Ride while she still sits in her little house in Hingham with her 2nd Husband and her Jesus and her daughter off at school and her son wondering who the hell this guy is on the other side of the planet that does not know what real life is (Join the Military, young boy, see some combat, have a few bullets zip past your ears, watch a friend die, kill someone, then come back and we’ll have a chat about Real Life).

She has a lot of time on her hands. She is frustrated with many things in her Life me-thinks and I am her release, her scapegoat… we can’t take that away from her.

On another note, for those who know me personally and have not heard much from me, here is a quick update:

I am very happy where I am in my Life. I am surrounded by intelligent beautiful people that care about the Community, the World and little old me… who could ask for more?

I look down that long road I have traveled for 45 years.

I see Happiness at the beginning of that Road, Happiness only Children seem to have.

Then I see confusion, bitterness & searching for almost quarter my Life, then Happiness again.

Y’all know the allegorical Valley of the Shadow of Death?  Well – allegorically – I made it through.

I might add one last little bit to this piece.

I lived with Kristen’s Cousins for a total of one year – we’ll call them The Martinis.

It was some of the greatest moments of my life.

‘Chad’ and I are Life long Brothers – soul mates. Chad even came to live with me here in Taiwan for a year. Sister ‘Julie’ (also Kristen’s cousin) is a beautiful person with a hint of rebellion in her too (it’s been a while since I have seen her, there may be more than a hint of Rebel.)

The Martinis were a wonderful influence on me in many ways and I believe they helped shaped who I am now.

Julie and Chad have also smashed out of their Boxes, so I know staying in said box and being the various adjectives Kristen is described as above and below, does not run in the Family.

Looking back, I see an emergence out of the Darkness onto a new path, the Path I am on now.

I have a beautiful Wife of 12 years and a Beautiful Son of 6 years who is my Everything.

If there is a God, that God sent Kristen to me, not to help save my soul (as she may hope), but as an instrument …and yes Entertainment.

I copy and paste every bit of Hilarity she posts with relish.

Indeed, like many of you, her posts at times make me wince, laugh at loud and indeed, give a bit of topic to chat about over beer and foosball when we all meet on the weekends.

She also gives us a bit of a glimpse of what goes on inside the Mind of these Born Again Fundamentalists – this is valuable information. She may not strap bombs to her Chest and carry out Terrorist Attacks in the name of her God, but she would if she were commanded by Jehovah, I reckon.

To many of us who have got to ‘know’ her on-line in Various Discussions, she represents The Jesus, the Affluent, the Ornery Old Caged Minx.

She is our very own Facebook Jester dancing around, falling down and getting back up unaware of the Smiles, The Grimaces, The Laughter.

She delights us all.

I will revise and update this bit when I get the chance, but in the meantime, I have to go mow the lawn of the House I do not own.

We are Free. Love for Humanity is our Moral Code.
We believe in Humanity and the Good Mother Earth from whence we came and to where we will return.
The Bible is so filled with contradictions how can anyone decipher it and come out with some kind of Morality?
How can anyone honestly believe in a Mysterious Omniscient Sky Wizard that rules over all?

We stopped believing in Fairies, Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny (all stolen from the Pagans by the way) when we were children, one would think adults would stop believing in the Sky Wizard as well.        Peace and Love

16. It’s been said Home is where the Heart is… and Home is where I hang my Hat…  Home is….

It took me years to realize that when we hold on to anger, the one we are angry at wins.  We are using synapses -and other bits in our brain- energy, time – and all that is dedicated to focusing our anger on an individual, situation etc.  Letting go’ takes on a whole new meaning when we realize this.  Often we are angry because of what is going on inside us, and not the thing we are angry at.  What a joyous feeling to address a problem that gets our emotions going, understand why we are feelings the feelings we feel, addressing it, then letting it go and moving on to other things in our lives. And as a last resort for those who can’t let it go, remember this bit of Sage Advice:  The Best Revenge is Living Well.

18. A thriving economy throughout the ages has always needed slaves.

19. I like to shatter paradigms.  It is what I do…  If no one knocks me off a pedestal, I jump.

21. On Public Education:  The problem is not so much the teachers as it is the system. The best teachers in the world are stuck in a rut (or better – a rock and a hard place) because of what they want to do and what they must do.

25. On Religion and Politics:  I learned that discussing Politics and Religion can be touchy topics. People do not like their boat rocked. But without the boat being rocked, there would be no progress.

27. The more I know, the more I realize I don’t know.  Doesn’t stop me from trying to know though…   …beats the sh*t out of ignorance.

28. We should always question what we believe, to not do so is the epitome of idiocy.

On Our Species:

1. Human Nature? This is a word that is tossed around the lexicon like dice in a cup. We are still trying to figure out what Human Nature is.  Humans do stupid things, not because it is human nature, but because we are still thinking like mere mammals.

2. I am first and foremost an Earthling. Mammalian Piss in the form of a piece of cloth does not represent who I am.

3. Response to a pro-American post - I’m proud and thrilled to be an Earthling.  Thanks for the Men and Women who gave their lives for Amerika? Men and Women from all over the world have given their Lives for one country or another at any given time. Why does one love their country?  If we all loved the Earth instead of a specific place on it, what a joyous place it would be to live.

4. We are in control of our own lives. We make our decisions and must live with them and deal with the subsequent aftermath.

5. Murder: Because of ‘A’ – ‘B’ dies.

We’ll call them Adam & Bruce.

Adam kills Bruce. What we must look for is intent. Why did Adam kill Bruce?

Here are the possibilities:

A. It was an accident.
B. Bruce is killed through mistaken identity
C. Someone told Adam to kill Bruce.
D. Adam was protecting someone else from Bruce.
E. Adam didn’t like Bruce.
F. Adam thought he was protecting his country & fighting for his Freedom and Bruce was the Enemy.

G. Bruce took Adam’s sandwich.

6. A starving child steals something to eat. Is this right or wrong?

7. If I can’t stop myself… no one can.

8. The Written Word is Solace, A Sword, A Universe in a World.

9. Our Species has been trying to figure out what Human Nature is since we swung down from the trees and realized we were Human.

11. It says in the Bible, Thou shalt not Kill.   Yet Christians have been killing in the name of God and Jesus for at least 1500 years.

*can’t be nice when your cheating the populace

I’m trying to think of good reasons for the recent hullabaloo concerning a Man’s Genitalia.

I’ve pondered. I’ve gone over it in my head. And after about 3 minutes I came up with this:

We are Mammals.

Mammals have sex.

That is how we all got here in the first place, EH?

It’s funny how Rulers of yester-year had hundreds of Wives and Concubines – this showed their Potency, their Vivaciousness, their Vitality.

Now they are scorned if they can’t keep their Peter in their Pants.

I’d love to steal a look on the computers of the People that Complain about politicians and their Sexcapades.

I bet we’d find lots of juicy tidbits, eh? Then we can wait till the Complainers are Famous and we’ll Scream it out to the world:

Immoral! Immoral!  This mammal was caught doing what Mammals do!   Copulating!   Ye Heathen!   Having sex with Women! Sex with Men!  EGADS The Thought!

I had written a bit on Osama Bin-laden (you can find it here:  http://bostonpaul.wordpress.com/2011/05/04/osama-bin-laden-the-world-rejoices-or-does-it/)  and of the numerous Inquiries in my box, most of them polite, I stumbled across this one. Paused. Smiled… and began to write.

Greetings Mr. London,

The flag is a representation of the government. The government does not necessarily represent The People. It is difficult however for those who ‘love’ the flag to NOT love the Flag since most of us have been Indoctrinated since kindergarten to ‘love the Flag’… probably you included.

Have you ever said the Pledge of Allegiance? Why would one have to say this pledge? It is part of the Public (AKA government controlled) Education Indoctrination System… and you (and millions of others including – at one time – me) are victims of it… though now there are millions waking up.

I even have Flags tattooed on my chest as I was a soldier in the 82nd Airborne Division from 18 – 22 years of age… but I grew up and I got wise.

I realized that the Government (and the corporations that control it) are only concerned with having Nice Dumb Sheep for a populace. Why? Because Sheep are easy to control…

Brainwash them when they are young, so that they think everything they say is ‘right’… it is a great (and evil) Trick.

Do you know The Art of War by Sun Tzu (Sun Zi)?  The Art of War is a 2500 year old document. West Point Military Academy (and interestingly Harvard Business School) both have this as a text-book in their colleges.

The Art of War states that are two ways to keep The People under Control:

The First Way (and this works in a 3 part concert) is:

A. Keep the People Fed. Hungry People start Revolutions.

B. Keep the People Entertained. This distracts them from looking at the bigger problems.  How many Americans are glued to the TV and all the BS Media Drama? How many Americans get their news from Fox News? How many listen to the ass-clowns of ass-clowns Glenn Beck?  A distracted populace is a Government’s Ally.

C. Keep the People Ignorant of what The Government does. A Public Education System (AKA Indoctrination) that is government controlled of course will insure this.  Get em’ when they’re young and they are yours forever.

The Second Part of Keeping this Control, and this is the most effective – is to keep The People living in a constant state of FEAR.

(Look out a Terrorist might be over there! No wait, he’s over there!)

How many Terrorists have been caught (and convicted) since 911 on US soil? None. Check it out. They made all these laws not to control Terrorism, but to control the People. The Patriot Act is the biggest piece of BS Document since Hitler (he had a similar document: The Enabling Act. This allowed him to invade Poland… the parallels between Nazi Germany and Amerika are astounding).

I won’t forget 911… and I will spend the rest of my days Inquiring into why it happened… If you would like to engage in any kind of discourse considering 911, I would love to know what you know, and I am happy to share any information with you as well.

FLAGS: Flags only bring people together within a country (and it is usually coerced).

Flags divide. They do not bring The People of the world together. They create an us VS them mentality.  Are you a sports fanatic? Flags do similar things in sports as well. WE are the best. WE are God’s Chosen. We hear this BS all the time. Problem is, most everyone thinks this way; i.e. my country is better than yours, my team is better than yours… ad nauseam.

WE are selfish mammals that have not evolved into whatever comes after dumb mammals.

Remember, we are Earthlings first!

July 20, 2011. No response. We can probably guess he won’t be responding back, eh?

I have been repeating my thoughts around various parts of the internet, so some of this may sound familiar to you, but here it goes:

Here are a few Things of Note I would like to mention that seem to keep getting lost in the whirlwind academy award-esque Drama that has been folding & unfolding and creased so bad that the best dry cleaner in in Washington’s China-Town couldn’t straighten it out.

First, it should be well known that Osama Bin Laden (OBL) was never charged with the 911 travesty by the FBI. Here is the link to the site:

The FBI has recently updated this and put a red deceased sign across his mug.

Note that Osama was on the FBI most wanted list but NOT for 911. The FBI states that there is/was not enough evidence.

Bin Laden has admitted to everything he was part of in the past and I’m sure for a Terrorist, 911 would have been the Crowned King of Terror… what Terrorist would not want to boast that (s)he orchestrated an event like 911 then subsequently take the credit for this heinous deed?      OBL did not.

NOTE:  praising a Heinous Act and carrying out a Heinous Act are two different animals.

One should not get assassinated because one praised 911.  And why did OBL praise the perps of 911 (would be ironic if the US Government had something to do with 911, eh? OBL praising a US deed? Don’t laugh, the US let Pearl harbor happen, did they not?)

Also know that I’m not condoning anything OBL has done. I abhor his acts of Terrorism as emphatically as I do the American Government’s Acts of Terrorism in the Middle East. Violence is to be abhorred no matter who the arbitrary Good Guys and Bad Guys are.

Why does the Public feel the way they do about OBL? Let’s ask a question to answer a question: What Medium have the American Masses  – and the rest of the world – been using to get their information?

The Popular Media? Media controlled by Huge Corporations? Those very same corporations that control governments – including The Government that is occupying much of the world in one form or another?

They are praising the Death of a Villain because of what the Media has purported him to be? No Trial? No Justice? Hell… no Body, no autopsy, no independent observers, no record of his capture, it all sounds like something is Rotten in Denmark to me.

Remember too, OBL was an ally with the US government until early 1990s as they had a common enemy with the Soviet Union. The Bush Family is still friends with the Bin laden Family in Saudi Arabia. Last I heard, they still send each other Holiday Cards.

Conspiracy Theories: I am a skeptic and I do ask questions. The problem is that now if someone questions the government (especially after 911) they are dubbed ‘conspiracy nuts’ which then means that no-one gets a Voice.

It is an ingenious trick of the Media: Trust your government wholeheartedly, don’t ask questions – and if you do, you’re a nut. This is a very stealth way to suppress Freedom of Speech… and many Americans – and a couple of Canadians I know – have fallen into this Trap.

Sadly, most Americans – once Ferocious Warriors -  for Freedom & Peace, have been reduced Blithering Sheep who don’t ask questions, jump on the Nationalistic Bandwagon and attack anyone who thinks differently.

Everyone is caught up in the Media Blitz, The Band Wagon Hatred in the name of misconstrued Patriotism (AKA Nationalism).

Very few know one iota about OBL save what they hear on CNN, FOX and other Powerful Corporate Controlled Media.

People are talking much the same way they would a TV show (who shot JR?) It seems the Realness is taken out, but the Drama is not.

Movies, Dramas… a good book, a real or fictitious story – all evoke Emotion… sprinkle a bit of Fear & Ignorance ( ignorance oft resulting in fear ) and you have your Frenzy; your Nationalistic fervor… your Lynch Mob.

So questions I have – but may never know the answers to – are simply:

Is Osama Bin Laden merely a Glorified Scape-goat?

Is he a Myth devised by the CIA (he worked with them in the 8Os)?

OBSERVATIONS: What impact will this have on OBL’s Family (again -friends with the Bush family… what effect will this have on the Bush/Bin-Laden family Relationship)?

Is he the relative of the Bin-Ladens (and other Saudi Nationals) that were whisked out of the country hours after 911 when all planes were grounded? ( that’s power!)

What will the Movie they make be like? And how will this re-enforce the Myth, the Legend, the BS, The Untruths, The Misconceptions and the Nationalistic Fervor one country has and uses against another?

We have hit a cross roads. What does it take to achieve World Peace? The Killing of more Villains to pacify the Ignorant Masses?

Power to The People.

What is Power? Knowledge.

What is Knowledge? Information.

Where are we getting our information from then?

I had 10 items, then I picked up a pack of gum while waiting in line… (I almost picked up a package of razors, too.)

The Cashier said, “I’m sorry sir, but you have 11 items.”

I said, “you actually counted?”

She said, “yes sir, this is the 10 items or less lane, you will have to go to the next lane.”

(I looked at the next lane, it was a long line)

I said, “seriously? I just grabbed this pack of gum, just now.”

She said, “it is still 11 items, sir.”

(Meanwhile during the banter, the ‘express 10 items or less’ lane was growing longer)

I said, “look, we could have already been done by now, could you just ring it up?”

She said, “I don’t make the rules sir.”

I said, “Stop calling me sir please. It doesn’t sound right. You can call me New Acquaintance. It’s a mouthful, but I think it is better than sir.”

The woman behind me wearing a large, printed blouse said, ” could we get a move on here?”

The Woman with a double chin behind Large Blouse said, “Just get to the other lane, you have too many items!”

I said, “I just picked up a pack of gum! IT’S GUM.”

The Man, unshaven, behind Large Blouse and Double Chin said, “it’s just a pack of gum! Ring it up!”

The Cashier said, ” I don’t make the rules, sir.”

(I put the gum back)

I said, “OK, I have 10 items again.”

(I noticed the slightest hint – almost imperceptible – grimace on her bland almost emotional-less face).

She began to ring up my stuff.

(I looked at the 12 people in the ‘express’ lane and shrugged my shoulders… the express lane people waiting in the express lane seemed exasperated.)

I looked at them sheepishly and said, “it was just a pack of GUM.”

Large Blouse behind me said, “you should obey the rules.”

I said, forcing a peace-loving smile,”it was gum! That is like less than half an item… it’s like I had 10 and 1/2 items. Maybe even 10 and a quarter items”

Double Chin said, “it is still more than 10.”

I said, “but it still has the number 10 in it.”

The Cashier said, “that will be 18.50, please.”

I asked, “do you get in trouble if you ring up more than 10 items? Are they watching you?”

(I looked to see where the cameras were)

She said, “I don’t know… I just follow the rules.”

(I gave her the 18.50 – Exact Change – you know, to save time.)

I grabbed my 10 Items (exactly) and got another 50 cents out of my pocket. I picked up the gum and asked Large Blouse “could you get this for me – here’s the money. I see you only have 7 items, this gum will make 7 and a 1/2 items which is still less than 10.”

(Large Blouse ignored me.)

I asked Double Chin. She only had 9 items.

The Unshaven Man behind Large Blouse and Double Chin spoke up, ” Christ, I’ll get your gum for you, pal.”

I said, “looks like you have about 10 items, though.”

He said, “damn, you’re right.”

We all looked at the Cashier.

The Unshaven Man put his razors back and grabbed my gum.

He said, “I didn’t need to shave today anyway.”

I walk out of the Store, gum in hand, triumphant.

I find it Tragically Amusing.

The US & many of  its Citizens are up in arms about illegal aliens.

Let’s think about this.

If you or I or almost anyone else we know was starving and had a family to feed, we would do anything within our power to feed ourselves and families.

Even if that meant stealing.

Let me digress a moment:

Amerika has always spouted that they are the land of the free:

Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free…

People from other countries less fortunate believe this rhetorical BS:

‘the streets are paved with Gold… go to Amereeka!’

Amereeka is The Land of Golden Opportunity!

…that is until they actually land in the US and learn what is really going on (digression complete).

Instead, these ‘illegals’ sneak across the border – which is dangerous (and let’s remember that much of the land that they – The Mexicans – are sneaking into was theirs once upon a time… but we can get into that later), and are willing to risk it because it is better than what they have in the first place…   which is usually nothing.

They take work that the Average Complaining Amerikan (ACA) would not do anyway – at lower wages.

The ACA points fingers and blames these ‘illegals’ for affecting the economy and taking jobs away from Americans (the jobs that ACAs don’t want anyway)… they need a scapegoat after-all, eh?

The ACA could never blame their Government and its ludicrous spending of BILLIONS of dollars a week fighting a war in the Middle East.  I’m no mathematician, but we should be more worried about money spent on the war and the Amerikan Occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan than we should about the  money being made by the Border Hoppers and the taxes the US cannot collect subsequently blaming these ‘illegals’ for the US’s financial woes.

WHAT I FIND INTERESTING IS THAT I NEVER see a finger pointed at those Amerikan Companies & Corporations that are HIRING the illegal workers.

Amerika does not need stringent laws for the illegal workers, they need to crack down on the Amerikans HIRING the illegal workers.

If there are no jobs for illegals workers, they won’t be sneaking across the border.

It’s a no-brainer then, isn’t it?

These people – the ACA – that are complaining need to pry their heads out of their asses.

Ignorance is bliss and the ACA in Arizona is Blissful.

I Question Authority all the time. Most governments around the world are not running their countries in the interest of the People, but instead in the interest of their Corporate Sponsors. Corporations by their very nature do not care about The People, but about the Bottom Line.

This is why Amerika is in Iraq and Afghanistan.

2. I don’t take the popular media seriously.

The Popular Media are the Propaganda Spewing Voices for the corporate élite and their puppet governments. I don’t even have cable.

If a news program has a commercial, that news program must keep that sponsor and its interests in mind when reporting the news. This is not unbiased coverage (as we all have been taught the News should be).

3. I always question what I believe, because I could be wrong … and so could you.

Questioning what one believes does 2 things: Re-affirms what is already believed or changes the way one believes. We should not get mired in dogma of Politics & Religion, this is not to say we should not understand what is happening in the world of Politics & Religion – we should. Being Knowledgeable in these two entities is to have Power to protect yourself against them.

4. I Love those in my Life & those not in my Life.

I’ve learned and often see how Love comes round full circle… sometimes when I least expect it. One of the Pleasures of getting older… I’ve been around long enough to see love being exchanged, made and passed on.

5. I Treat Food as Medicine.

If we eat healthy, there is no need to take medicines prescribed by doctors. Doctors should be sought sparingly.

6. I believe a Strong, Knowledgeable, Loving Community will make the world Peaceful.

Governments aren’t doing it and are not able to do it because of the selfish interests of the Corporations that are running the Planet… by relying on Community, self sustainability is possible and we depend less and less on Corporations and their Banks. This takes away their power and control.

7. I express myself through art, music and writing.

We should let our Children do the same. I’m against Public Education because it does not let children express themselves freely.

Children spend at least 5 days a week in school studying math each of those days and only a couple of times (if they’re lucky) dancing, involved in some kind of art, or music class.

This is wrong and dangerous.

I was thinking ( I sometimes do that) none of us know what is going to happen in 20 years. In 1975 for example, we did not know that in 1995 that in much of the world Computers would be the norm and that CDs would be a popular medium.  So then, how can we prepare our children for 20 years from now? By teaching them (or perhaps just letting them!) to think abstractly. By teaching them survival skills. Encouraging them in their interests and hobbies.

Community Learning allows for this.

Public Education destroys this by making them into little robotic sheep that must obey.

REALIZATIONS:

I have found that these Guidelines make my Life good.

I have found that living this way gives others (in my life) a bit of hope and happiness and that this comes back around to pleasantly haunt me – sometimes when I least expect it.

I have found that I have surrounded myself with people (perhaps magnetic attraction?) and this Community Circle keeps on growing.

I have found that living this way people sense that this is real. People deep down want to keep it real and are attracted to those who do.

Everyday bombardments from the Media coming from every direction – in front of  us, behind us, our flanks, at the stop light, a stroll down the street – are  shallow sentiment of what is cool, fashionable or popular.

Peel away the glitter & gold; the bells & whistles and what is left is what is Real.
