No Love for Jakarta?

Religion is Poison and this time the Poison spreads through one of its Hosts (ISIS) in Indonesia… Jakarta to be exact.

It warms my heart to that everyone has used the social media flag filter – as they did with France – to show solidarity with Jakarta.

The News Feeds on social media are going ballistic with updates and pouring out of love, sympathy and empathy.

Wait a minute… none of that has fucking happened.

Not one peep.

Are the lives lost in France more important than our brothers and sisters in Jakarta?

Is it because Indonesia is a predominately Muslim Country? So who gives a fuck?

Is it because People from around the world like French Croissants and Escargot better than Indonesian Otak-Otak?

No matter who the Victims are –  Violence is Violence. Terrorism is terrorism and We The People should stand together.

  1. “Are the lives lost in France more important than our brothers and sisters in Jakarta?”

Everyone denies it, but the fact is “Yes, they are” because:

    1) They’re white and Jakarta lives aren’t. And if there were some whites among the Jakarta dead, they will be the focus of the media attention.

    2) Paris matters. Jakarta doesn’t. Without looking it up, NOBODY in America (and most of the Western world) has no fucking clue what country Jakarta is in. Most don’t even know it’s a city, not a country. Jakarta is in that black hole (pun intended) that exists outside of America.

It’s a simple case of rankings. Basically, the further away from “civilization” you are, the darker your nation’s average skin tone, the smaller your nation’s median income is and the less Christian your nation is….the less the Western world gives a fuck about what happens there.

Even if terrorists (even terrorist groups the West has turned into superstars) kill thousands, it will be covered in an “obligatory” way and will be over with quickly.

    • Indeed…. and well said.
